Rl calls but BoSamba still runs :-)

The last time our RL had catch us and had ask us a lot and not in the funny way, but BoSamba still involves and runs so it’s not easy to follow it here in this blog.

But since the last paper here, lot of  occurred.

Our land is still renew work in progress. We have now a pool, relax beach places and we will soon begin to work on our garden.

First of all we are enjoying to work with the BZoO team and Blueberry design team. Rg, Andie and Jaqui are great entertainers and carry lot of fun, if you want to be welcome somewhere  go to them anytime they perform (for example on Monday in BoSamba ), for me it’s the best internet team radio ,  what they do is enjoying.

The two past weeks we had planned HatHead and we were surprised to see that he sent us his rabbit

Not sure it was the best show, but no matter, the music was great! No Matter how or when or with who he performs, HatHead has to be listen. We had listen many live performers, most were false but HeatHead is surely the best electronic keyboard performer playing live. When his concerts ends, we always have a deep feeling, as if suddenly the place around us get empty.  If you like him or real live music performers don’t loose HatHead concerts, he never plays the same, sometimes he performs with friends, but he always touchs our ears and heart.

I’m a little sad as again for the fourth time we will have to avoid our Tuesday Beethoven’s Discovery. It’s a lot of work for us and Fabrice (who sometimes plays live some music), and when RL catch us strong as it does since 2 months. So we apologise for that, we try to recover as we can but it will be hard to end it before the end of the year as it was planned.

So we appologise for this time hitch.

Awesome Party with Rg, Andie, Jaqui & Bzoo

The goal of this blog is not to relate all what could happen in Bosamba. But to relate the special events or ideas we could share, offer or imagine.

On past Monday, October 19th, Bzoo radio team party, was again awesome. Each time they come we know nothing of what they had plan, what kind of music they will share with us, what feeling they will carry. But it’s great, we let them lead us, catch us and … lets go.

To be honest after more than 2 years in SecondLife we had never see and feel that. We knew that Rg is a great guy and have a great music/dance feeling but we were not expecting so much fun and so nice surprises.
It’s a real pleasure to share this time with them. Rg, Andie and Jaqui are kind and make a great team, so if you never went  to their parties , in BoSamba or in their place , you need to relax, laugh, spend a nice time, forget your troubles (if you can) and come to share it.

This time Rg decide to make a contest about the best legs! Bibi won! you can see on the picture how she was catch in a giant ball as the winner…. but that avoid to show you her legs!
It was hard to see the legs of the ones wearing pants, like Rg or Karllos, so I had vote for Karllos ones
The next time, if he wants to win,  he will have to come with a short skirt! Blinking Karllos

Our land is still work in progress, as RL catch us strong, we can’t work a lot on it, but no matter for our events, inside the building it’s almost finished and our performers enlight the place.

For now we try this Monday date, but we could change it for a better date, if RL allows it.

So we wait you all next Monday, for the fun and to share a great moment with one of the best SL Dj and Party team.

Izabela sweet concert

This past wednesday (October 14th) occured our first concert in our new space and so the first classical music.

Our new club looking like a theater or concert place was right in the feeling of this event.

The way Izabela plays and how she introduce each music is awesome and more we learn about these classical musics more they catch us and better we can deep dive in tem and understand.

There is not much to tell as most was told by her violin and her fingers. We just advertise music classical lovers able to connect in Sl to listen her concerts. Not always the same, so to loose one can mean to loose a lot.

Rg Papp and his Dancers opened the new Club with an awesome Show !

We were expecting a lot  yesterday, as we know how Rg Papp can rock the Place. But that was WOOOOOOOOOT !

When Rg, Andie and Jaqui arrived on the Sim, we were quietly leading them to the Backstage Entry (a new Idea to let them quietly prepare ). All was running well, except some little technical Problems. They were fast resolved and the Party could get started !!

We tp’d some Friends and the Club was burning. Rg surprised us with a Duo DJ Performance, as his Partner Andie Rau was DJing too

They are a great Team. Fit well together and to listen them was great Fun ..Even though I still didn’t  understand if Rg is able to do the Breakdance now or no

Jaqui made an Awesome Gift for us. She made a special Poofer for BoSamba ! Thanks a lot to Jaqui for that…we love it ! It made the Evening special.

Rg and Andie played great Dance Tunes, the Dance as always awesome ! And this Show was going 2 Hours ! WOOOOOOOO…Tons of Fun, great People and the complete Crowd on Stage at the End

We are happy to have them back next Monday at 1:00 pm slt and hope there are many more to come !!

BoSamba changed………:-)

Now after 2 Years BoSamba, being in the 3rd Year and thinking of the Past, the Places where we had BoSamba already and now being on Mainland in Chartreux since more than one Year, made us think to change the Club and Land.

So we did ! Isabele jumped in 400 Meter Height and began to work hard on a complete new Concept and Base of the Club. The Club is now finished, the Land almost finished, except some little Details.

It has not much to do with the old Place we had now so long Time. Even though the BoSamba Feeling is still the same. But we built the Inside of the Club smaller, the Sits like they were are no more there. The Stage in my Opinion is just a Dream . Over it a beautiful Sphere which gives an awesome Feeling.

Another Idea we realized is a 2nd Floor. A large Place above the Stage, going round all through the Club, which will offer in the near Future, Sits and a Restaurant we are planning to build there. So a lot of Options more to enjoy Shows going on in BoSamba.

Another new Detail in BoSamba will be the Lights. Isa made such an awesome Job, working so hard to script something, to have the Light different during a Show/Event than it is usually.

Our BoSamba Office isn’t now no more that far It’s attached to the Club.

BoSamba gives a Feeling of a Theater now, a Theater with class, showing something elegant. But will always stay the BoSamba like we know it A friendly Beach Club, open to all Music Lovers and People who enjoy our Place like it is.

The Garden changed into a little Tree Forest.  And is now, where the Club was before.  A beautiful Place to relax. Just to hang out, sit quietly, maybe reading a Book ..but in SL all is possible (almost all!!).

For tonight we’ll have our first Show there. At 1:00 pm slt. We hope People coming will like the Atmosphere there now. If so it was worth the Work:-)

Enjoying event for our 2nd Anniversary

2nd Anniversary event pictures

Our Second Anniversary was full of surprises.

First with our friend Fabrice and some dancers, the introduction was quiet pretty, then JC Chevalier could begin his concert followed by a wonderful party lead by Rg Papp (of BZoO radio), and his dancers to end with HatHead Rickenbacker who, like a real pop-star, made us wait him long and long .

We didn’t really choose to make a Butterfly Wings event, we had just built these wings as a joke then it appears it could be nice to use them.

We have to thanks Fabrice and Leon, Melisa and Alysee for their sweet introduction of the event, nice jazzy music performed by Fabrice’s keyboard , Leon, Melisa and Alysee dancing on stage. That made the Event begin in a quiet and good feeling. The transition, at least for the French, with this Salut music of Joe Dassin’s famous old song. Fabrice made us Flying to the moon then dancing and singing in the rain, I hope Mel, Alysee and Leon didn’t get a cold .

JeanChristophe Chevalier following made as usually a pretty nice guitar concert. Mixing old celtic music, Jazz and oldies songs, ending with his great Guitar playing of Jean-Sebastian Bach music, to be heard by all music lovers. With six or twelves strings, no matter JeanChristophe is a great music player.

We had chosen to link the two live concerts by a dance DJ party and we had ask Rg Papp to do it and it was giant. We know Rg since the beginning, but yesterday he arrived to surprise us!
Coming with two of his dancers, Andie Rau and Jaqui Loire. Andie had manage and lead our dance and she made a real great job, perfectly dancing on the great Rg music. Not only she made us dance but also fly to let us out of any spatial and time reference . And when we were blind with lights, stars, balloon flying all around us, Rg Papp lead us to this anniversary way of fun. He choose great music for this event even if one or two were strange, but never cutting the fun.
As HatHead Rickenbacker got troubles to connect SL in time, Rg and his team stay and had continued performing for us, waiting HatHead ready.

We apologize here the people who seemed to come for HatHead in time and had leaved. I know patience is not a word well-known in SecondLife, but sometimes it’s needed. So HatHead began his concert only 1/2 hour later, some pop-stars begin 1 or 2 hours later trying that way to burn the place. Or Maybe HatHead wished we had a longer event. At least it was done and we had appreciate a lot his performance and kindness.  He went and that was enough to make us enjoy this end of event. We remember to all his fans that he is performing in BoSamba each Thursday at 01:00pm slt.
I just forgot to manage the final firework planned! So! no matter! The event was a firework by itself.

We were a little sad for our old friend Teresa who got computer troubles and couldn’t have sound so couldn’t enjoy the event. Also for Alysee who once the place full got her PC crashed often. For the next time we will know it, for BoSamba Anniversary, better to have a powerful computer. With Rg, Andie and Jaqui fire can occured in the motherboard or the harddisk. .-)

A special thanks to Maite and Tedy, to our Guardian angel Mel, to Karllos and sure Teresa to have been here, they are BoSamba’s most and best old friends. Thanks to Kathleen, Scorpio (even if she didn’t want to dance with us ), to Stranger, to Noma, Katysha etc. thanks for all coming to share with us this time.

We know that Tuesday is the most dead day of the week. That’s why we had stop to plan live concerts that day. But yesterday was our Anniversary and we had not celebrated it at Christmas even if it’s JC birthday, but another JC god than the guitar one performing in SL.

We now begin our 3rd year and we will keep lot of good memories of this event based on the two past years.

October 6th BoSamba’s Second Anniversary

Ah! how time pass fast!
On October 6th BoSamba will be 2 years old. When I remember it it seems as if it was just few months ago!
BoSamba is Muck and I baby, he was born in our early talk, at a time when we were still almost newbies in SecondLife. He was born by himself as if we did nothing, as if he was to be.
We spent one afternoon to find a place (ah this sim is over now), a little corner beach on an estate island. We built what we needed very fast We early knew we will make live concerts there, and it had run…

Then that island became to be busy and our space a little short, so we had look for and found another land with a large beach area and quiet and peace space around. At that time we were no more newbies and began to turn BoSamba in an only live music place.

We had stay thre if we didn’t heard that the island owner had think to leave SL and sale or let the islands where we were. So to become definitively quiet and home we had move on Mainland where we could now stay while SecondLife will exist. We are there now since more than one year.

Our goal had stay the same, offering real live concerts performance, then in any kind of music while the performer is good and true live. And we are proud of it even if sometimes  a real live performance can be disturb or avoid at the last time, it’s alive and we refuse to the way of many false artists telling they are live , hidden behind their computer, just streaming records of others.

Real Live music seems running down, with all the freak around, sure it’s becoming hard and “SL live concerts” can often only disappoint people expecting live performance. But we will continue at least while real live performers will still want to perform.

BoSamba was often copied, but what still is unique and we will care of it, is that we have nothing to sale, and we will never disturb the people coming by any advertisement else than our music events.

We are still planning this event, for now the program should be :

• 11:30 am slt (20:30 wet) Fabrice Gears introduction
• 12:00 pm slt (21:00 wet) JeanChristophe Chevalier and his gold guitar
• 01:00 pm slt (22:00 wet) Rg Papp (Dj) and his dancers party

Fabrice Gears opened a sweet Evening…

As always we had our “Discovering Ludwig v. Beethoven’s Music” Event going on Tuesday. This Week September 29th at the 7th Day of this Journey, Fabrice Gears a close BoSamba Friend since long Time had offer us, to let play on his electronic Keyboard – The Variations and Fugue for Piano in E flat major, Op. 35 “Eroica”.

It was something new for us, but a very sweet Moment. Fabrice introduced the Piece this Keyboard will play and explained some Details of it. When it was composed, about the Thema and the Circumstances around Beethoven when he composed it. It was not only to listen but also to learn a little about this Giant Composer .

A big Thanks to Fabrice for his Time, his Work on it and the Friendship he shares with BoSamba.

Izabela Jaworower touch our BoSamba heart

Izabela Concert in BoSamba on Wednesday 2009 September 30

For the 3rd time we received Izabela Jaworower in BoSamba to offer a new live classical event in BoSamba. And as always it was a great time.

It’s a stress moment to prepare all when she performs, she wants it perfect and we can only follow her in that wish. Except a big lag which made Young to not let the pictures slideshows on stage, all began right and Izabela performance was great.

We have to thanks her to have perform specially for us, the Beethoven Sonata for Piano & violin Opus 24 in F Major well-known as Spring sonata. She had saw we had already present this sonata in our Tuesday’ Beethoven Discovering event. So she’s thanks again here.

Our land which was born as a beach Bossa and latino dance/concert  place doesn’t l

ook like a Classical Music concert place, but since we had try some, all went right and often we receive thanks about it so we keep it that way. And by the way, why a classical music can’t be performed near a beach?

So we are hurry to offer you another Izabela concert 2 weeks later.

HatHead and his friends: a giant performance

Yesterday again HatHead Rickenbacker  went in BoSamba with a surprise, his concert will be performed by a trio: himself, Omar playing guitar, and Gurpreet playing Tabla.

If you had miss these concerts, we can tell you you lost a lot! Yes sorry to tell it but it has to be known.

If the last week concert was more slow with feelings, this one yesterday was more crazy, funny, enjoying. The same performers for two different feelings.

It’s not easy to relate and explain a music.  How can I relate you the rythm, the sound, the ambiance . How words could explain how the music was catching us taking our body to dance or at least move and our soul to fly ?

For my opinion, yesterday and last week HatHead Concert were the best SL live performance I had ever heard and I don’t tell it because it was in BoSamba. There are too few real live performers in SecondLife, most are freak performers playing records calling that live that we enjoy and are proud when some concerts occurs like yesterday. It has to be notice!

HatHead and his friends will perform soon in RL and we are happy to share part of their work and to offer you it. We keep it as a gift for us and you all music lovers who can come and enjoy it.

Another Hathead Wonder.. :-)

WOW…it’s almost all what I can tell after this awesome Set, Hathead just had carry to BoSamba. Again another Hour full with magic Moments. From Samba to faster Beats, Piano Ballads and finally my german Song !!!!

Now he definitely brought the “Fieber” to the red Place We just can thank him for always giving us this great Pleasure to listen him, this Guy is just great Fun !

For the People who never heard him. It is a Must !!

Four Months to discover Beethoven music in BoSamba’s each Tuesday

Our Tuesday classical music day will begin tomorrow August 11. And it will be a Beethoven discovery music until December 8.

We will follow a chronological way, beginning tomorrow by some music composed around the 1796 to end with the wonderful and giant 9th Symphony on Tuesday December 8.

Muck and I used to listen together some nice music and we thought we could share this pleasant time with people who could like to listen and discover some nice Music.
We will not podcast even not really broadcast as it stays a privacy so you will have to be in logged in SL and with us at BoSamba in time with us to be able to listen it.

So we decided to do it on Tuesday and we had planned to begin by a discovering of Ludwig van Beethoven through his orchestra/symphonic music following a chronological time. I will write here all the schedule when it will be right finished.

Each Tuesday it will begin at (12:10pm SLT/PDT), you’re welcome to come at 12:00pm to be able to read the notices we will have written for it and to be sure to not loose the beginning. To loose only 3 chords can be enough to make Beethoven music mis understandable. Don’t forget, Beethoven talks to you, to your heart. If you can cook, garden, read, do odd job listening Mozart, with Beethoven it’s impossible, his music can’t be really listen while doing/thinking to something else.

Before the master music (concerto, symphony etc…) we will listen one or few little peaces of music composed by Beethoven around the same year, that could be Sonatas , solo or trio instruments and we will write for each music a Note card so you will be able to take one of the French, German or English version. (Thanks to Muck and Melisa for the translation).

We will write the day program in the Arts & Cultural part of the SL events. It’s not a live music performance and we don’t cheat with that

We don’t expect a large audience but if only one person enjoy the music and/or discover something new we will be happy, that’s why we decide to allow people to share with us this music privacy time.

Often the music is much more beautiful when you can listen it with others, friends, family, neighbors (if they let the window open ) etc…

So I have to hurry to work on the next Note card

Magic Moments with Hathead yesterday !

Isa is right ! We should probaby only copy/paste the Post again and again, as each Show of Hathead Rickenbacker is just great. But we can’t do that, as each Show is unique too

It was again another Show full with Magic Moments. He played all kind of different Songs…and one of them the beautiful Piece he wrote “You don’t know what Love is”. A very beautiful Song. My favourite..that is sure !!

Hathead is a really great Guy, a Pleasure to listen him and great Fun to just  talk with him.

And we are happy to have him each Thursday during August at 1 pm slt back in BoSamba ! You’re all welcome to enjoy him with us. It’s always worth it

Tuesday and Wednesday for Classical Music in BoSamba

After a long think we decided to reserve Tuesday and Wednesday for classical music events in BoSamba.
Wednesday will stay our live music classical music event when Tuesday will be a discovering classical music event.

Since months we enjoy to offer you Brent Renard on Wednesday. He sings some Opera songs and now he begins to perform with a pianist some arias. We will continue with him on Wednesday as long we can.

Our last try of Classical music discovering event was a little success, enough to encourage us to involve that way. And so we decided to make one each Tuesday. These Tuesday’s events will be based on what we did in that try. The audience will be able to learn more about the music they will be able to listen with us.
Each people coming could take a notecard about the music they will listen that day. This notecard will relate what is that music and how it was created. For now the notices will be available in English, Français , and Deutsch.
This Tuesday event will be our way to try to be useful and to make people discovering and learn the best of the music art.
When our OSGrid place will be finished this Tuesday event will happen there too at the same time.

Sunday will stay BoSamba rest day, Thursday is reserved for the best live Keyboard performer of SL (I named HatHead ), and the other days will depend of the others great live performers availabilities.

Enjoy the good music. Stay far of freak! Then come to dance or close your eyes and listen, BoSamba events will always try to touch your heart and make your soul greater.

Ah lala! should we copy/paste each week the same paper about HatHead performance in BoSamba?

We could as again HatHead Rickenbacker had perform a nice concert yesterday. Maybe I had dream, but it seems he has played a new composition?
I forgot to take a picture. But I still hear some part of his music.

I’m not payed by Linden to advertise SL , but sure , only to listen this concert could be a good reason to open an account in SecondLife and join the concert. And don’t forget, in BoSamba you can come freely to enjoy great music and we have nothing for sale

Discovering Beethoven Hammerklavier Sonata

It was a nice experience. Lot of work, but as all the people coming had stay to the end and seemed to have appreciate it, we should renew it.
We still don’t control all in that kind of event. We will try to improve it.
If we could in a way or another help some people to discover or to know better or to enjoy the best of what human could do in musical art we are already thanks.
We had inaugurated at that time our new little concert place in our clubhouse, a closer feeling.

I don’t want to repeat Isa ! But I need to write some Words too. We were both nervous as it was the 1rst Time BoSamba was doing something like that.But the Experience was great and worth all the Stress before.

The People coming enjoyed it, as the first Comments in Open Chat just arrived few mns after the Music started. We felt it and it was for us a big Thanks.

We seriously think about to continue this Way in BoSamba. BoSamba was born to make People enjoy all kind of Music and to share one of the sweetest Things in this Life with People all over the World!  While we can use this Moments to carry the Music  closer to People and to make them discover it with us, it is always worth all the Work behind.

After the little success of our Tristan & Isolde ending music event, on Wednesday July 22 we think to try another but more serious “discovering” classical music art.
It will be Ludwig Van Beethoven’s HammerKlavier sonata Opus 106.
All the people coming will be able to receive a notice relating the most of this giant wonderful piano Sonata before to listen it with us. There will be 3 notices for 3 different languages (français, english, deutsch)
If this event has another little success we will improve that kind of discovering classical music.
More people will come , more it will encourage us to continue this way too.

Following is the text announced in SL events:

Are you a music lover? Are you a piano lover?

We would like to make you discover or listen again Ludwig van Beethoven’s Hammerklavier piano sonata Op 106.
HammerKlavier sonata is the top of piano music. A giant work which open the passage from the old Mozart and older Piano-Forte and the modern piano.

If anyone knows “Moonlight sonata”, Hammerklavier is less famous as it has no easy reminding melody. It is a whole. It’s almost one hour of pure piano music catching you.
To listen in the dark the eyes closed!
Don’t forget that Beethoven always talk to you and to your heart, not only to your ears.

If you’re in the mood, come in BoSamba few mns before the time as you will receive a notice relating all about this sonata.
then after having read it, close your lights home and listen this music with us eyes closed.

Fabrice Colette (Crosby) back in BoSamba

Fabrice Colette (Fabrice Crosby in SecondLife) was one of the first performers in BoSamba. We were happy to be part of his last album’s promotion and offering a nice beach concert.

Then during months Fabrice got a break and didn’t perform so much in SL, So when he called us last week we didn’t hesitate long to plan a new concert with him.

Do I have a wrong memory? but we felt Fabrice much better than before, as if this break made him control more his performance way. He had play some songs that are not in his last album and two of them were really beautiful, in a strong feeling and that was a good surprise.

I should ask the title of the songs as after, for these papers here, I can’t named them for reference.

I have to be true, we just made a mistake, our Arties neighbors had told us that they will make an Opening this day at this time, but when we had book Fabrice, we forgot that. This opening had carry lot of people that our place becomes slow with lot of lag and a long time to rez. I could see people coming for the concert and leaving fast. I’m not proud of it and I apologize for this mistake as I know that nothing is more boring than to arrive at a place with so much lag.

For who could stay, sitting without to move, the concert could be good as the stream was ok and Fabrice in a very good mood.

We look forward…. enjoy all the best performers in SL

BoSamba is and will stay an open kind place

Bosamba is an open place where every one is welcome, and we will try to continue it that way for all music lovers and all the people who like to spend a good time listening good performers and sharing their feelings.

In BoSamba you will not find advertisements of objects to sale, BoSamba doesn’t exist for business and will stay a quiet relax place. And we need it as it’s most of its be.

But we are not anything and we expect the people coming respecting others our performers and their audience.

Since our beginning we had always seen strange people coming.
Or they came to provoke us, or to disturb the audience, or to disturb the performer and sometimes just as a stupid kidding bad joke.
We always react the same.
If they are people coming to provoke us (many people hate gays and lesbians, or consider women as objects to use) we quietly ignore them and let them becoming tired by themselves.
If they come during a concert to disturb the audience or the performer, we first ask them to stop fast and stay quiet. We don’t wait long to ask it a second time, and if they continue then we eject them for the time of the concert or forever (all depend what had happen), and we ignore them to not be longer disturb by their IM.
Lucky, most of the time, these people understand the first ask and stop their bad joke. And it’s good like that: anyone can make a mistake.

Many of SL performers has a manager, most of them are nice people and easy to talk. We appreciate them as they respect the audience and others people.
But we had a nice performer with who we had a good feeling and even lot of fun until she choose a strange manager. A proud aggressive guy, talking and acting with us and some of our friends as if we were his dogs or slaves.
We could ignore him as we didn’t need to talk to him to book her, until he began to come in BoSamba during other performers’ concerts to advertise in open chat his place and his performer.
Some people of the audience leaved when he came and one told Sorry that he can’t stay with this guy around or he will badly beat him…
We had ask him to stop that, to let the audience quiet and respect the performer on stage and the concert. His answer was insults in IM but he leaved by himself and we never heard of him during months (expect we learn he has spy and copied BoSamba in his place.).
Yesterday again he came with a friend and without an hello began to send nc.
That finished with a bad argue between him is friend and us and I had to ban them and ignore them. And that definitively as they were copying/pasting cutting and arranging IM’ sentences in any senses to try to make an SL incident in openchat.
They went beyond the limits.

There are people coming just to put on others their cheating and their own hate cowardly using to be anonymous behind their computer. That is not new .

Maybe we are frail women? but SL allows us to definitively ignore them. It’s what we do, to protect us, protect the people who like us, protect the audience of our performers.
If they don’t like us, if they don’t like our performers, if they are jealous, better they ignore us as we will ignore them:

We don’t forget that we can’t make an omelet without breaking eggs.
BoSamba is and will stay a quiet nice places where people will come friendly to enjoy the best music and the best performers.

Little pleasant time

Yesterday, after so much work on our OpenSim servers in OSGrid we needed a quiet time to relax.
As we had no event planned and not in the mood to work anymore we were quietly listening music, when Muck had ask me why not listening this beautiful Tristan & Isolde finale.
As I have many different versions of it, I thought a good idea could be to listen one orchestral only and the full version with the voices.
Then we thought we could share it with some others who could like it. It’s a different feeling to listen music alone than with others.
It was too late to be a real event, and not sure it was really an event, but I had announced it in the SL event one hour before.

So it was a try and this event was to dure around 30 minutes.
We were not sure that some people could come just for that. But it was kind to see 3 people coming.
This little event was a pleasant time, at least for me. And we decided Muck and I to think more about it to try to make more often events like that. But it can be a long job to prepare events like that, to make them more live and more interesting. We have also to think about what we are allow to do, it is not because we do it in Virtual worlds that we need to do anything like it is often done.

Bosamba was always different than others club places, even if some had spy then copy us, we always try to find original ways for the music events in BoSamba. We are music lovers and if some people can enjoy the little time with us we are already thanks.

Sometimes the ambience of a concert turns to a special feeling.
And it is what happen yesterday for HatHead concert.
Was him in a special mood? maybe! This time.

By my side , I was still expecting a boring crash/disconnect time of my computer, but all was right, my net connection was very kind to disconnect me ten mns before the concert to let me quiet after for all the evening, so I could better appreciate it.

As if I had felt it I had decide to wear a different outfit, all white with a large and long moving skirt and larger open top, as if angels were waiting to catch us. It was not an angel but HatHead music and Muck arms who catch me, but it was almost the same. As no technical problems occurred it was like a dream.

HatHead is one of our favorite live music performers in SL and with him we can’t know before what and how he will perform. Each of his concerts is different, different in the way he can play (alone or with his friends), but also in the feeling (rhythmic, fun and joking or sweet and soft), and yesterday it was that as he wanted to carry us to the stars

Maybe the time the most touching was when HatHead had play one of his piano work, and from what I could hear around it seems I am right. As we don’t have the program of the concert, I can’t name the parts of it, But no matter, if you had listen this concert yesterday you know what I mean and you will have your own feeling, and if you were not with us you had loose something.

SL is great when it allows that. Meeting, crossing people we could never meet in Real and sharing with them the same time, the same feeling, the same thrill wth them who can be thousands and thousands kilometers far, and as the music is an universal language, no matter if we are German, Canadian, French or Chinese we understand it well. And HatHead often can carry that, making us have the same dream at the same time.

Yesterday was a special great music event, if you couldn’t listen it, don’t loose the next. Forget your TV, turn off your cellular phone, forget your boss to meet the day after, your boring neighbors(;-) ) … Come and join us, take a comfortable sit, relax breath, maybe close your eyes and let you catch by HatHead music. It’s for you.

What an awesome Jean Munro’s concert yesterday

It’s always a great time when Jean Munro comes to perform in BoSamba. And yesterday was another awesome concert impressing us so much that I forgot to take a picture of it for this paper!

Jean is one of the performers we know since the beginning of BoSamba, We couldn’t book her as often as we could need. She seems RL busy, we don’t share the same time zone and she has her own place in SL. That’s why each time she can perform in BoSamba is a momentous date for us.

We were lucky the internet and computers didn’t disturb her concert and, expect the stream a little wrong the first minutes, all could run right and SL was kind to not have disconnected us before its end.

By my side, I’m impressed not only by Jean voice, but I have the same pleasure to see and hear how she catch her audience, how she seems to like , how she enjoys her fans. Only to read the people in open chat is special when she performs. Even when some of them IM me to congrats about the place, I feel right they congratulate not only because of our place but because they are touched by Jean performance at that time.

I have only one regret it is to not be able to plan Jean in the US/Canada evening time. We in Europe listen her in our evening and Jean is a wonderful evening bird
singer, her performance , voice and joy is really the best to end a day and go to sleep all rock and relax.

I don’t know who can read this paper , who will, but it’s not a paper for the people who were yesterday with us, no more for her fans as they already know well her. I write this paper for the people who had never listen Jean Munro. I would like to invite them to join SecondLife and to go to listen her and discover her.

We are happy of the performers we book now in our place, we are happy to see the people enjoying the concert, No matter if the place is full or no, even if one person only comes, while he/she enjoys it then we are already thank.

The good music makes the world more easy, the feeling stronger and the soul kinder.

P.S. : When we tell that BoSamba choose the best live performers, we should tell too that they carry the best audience people too.

A new Brent Renard? :-)

Brent and Iago 1rst Bosamba Concert

Few hours before Brent concert his manager had told us that Brent propose to perform with his new live concert pianist partner, and to be honest we couldn’t refuse this proposal. It was still an experimental way to perform but Muck and I was enough confident to be sure it is a nice idea and will be a great concert. As BoSamba only offers the best live performers we can give them the keys of our place as blind.

This new concert way gave Muck and I an idea: why not sharing the music we listen before the concert to everyone who could come early? So we decided to listen and share a music which could fit the concert , half an hour before it. Our choice stopped on a Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s concerto: Clarinet Concerto Kv 622. This idea couldn’t be bad as or nobody came earlier and we listen it only Muck and I as usually or people come eralier and could listen a nice music putting them already in the feeling of this Brent ’s classical concert.
We had gave out this idea in SecondLive events , but not in the live music part , in the arts & cultural one as this concerto was a record.

We don’t know if the people came earlier only randomly or because they found it in the events but for the first time we could see people coming half an hour before a concert taking a sit and staying.

The timing was perfect as if we had planned it. Brent and iago arrived when the concerto was ending.
We received thanks for the music and it had show us that our iea was not so bad. We will renew it.

Brent introduced his pianist partner and could begin the concert quietly. Since the first instants we felt it will be great. And it has been great.
Sure Brent singing alone can choose what he likes the best what he feels to sing when he feels. To have to perform with a pianist is another way. They have both to agree with the music to play, to accord, and the classical music is well known by the audience which will not apologize big mistakes or improvisation.
And that was how we discovered a new Brent Renard. Oh the same voice, the same feeling, the same be, but singing differently maybe a little more academic but the experimentation was resulting in a great concert and we are happy to have been part of it and to have allow the ones who had appreciated it to spend a special good time.

I don’t remember the name of the arias Brent and iago had performed. Brent never use to tell before what he will play and we can’t have and give a program of it. And to be true I was more listening the music than trying to remember the name of it (I will have to work on it;-) ).

People had stay to applaud and thanks and it made us happy to see they had enjoyed this event. Sometimes people leave so fast that we can’t know if they have appreciate or not, this time we could see that this experimental concert was a success.

Thanks Brent , thanks Iago, thanks for the people who came and support them.

And all don’t forget , BoSamba will always try to offer true good live performers in any style to make you all share real good music time.

Just a perfect Day and I’m glad I spent it with you….

YES BoSamba is not always working , sometimes we also use the Time to forget the Work a little and to dance on the Roof at the Limit, to have a View over our Land.

What can I tell ? The Roof is built strong enough and to dance with Isa is always my best Place.

Not much more to say, I think the Picture tells enough….

About BoSamba Pianos

As I was ask if our pianos are to be sold, I wished to answer here and to tell some words about these pianos.

First of all the best and most beautiful pianos in SecondLife are, from my opinion, Lister Lameth’s ones and you can find them in his place in the Piano Man. In our BoSamba place you will find for now only his pianos.

As OSGrid and the Opensim worlds are new (but involving fast) all is still to be done there. And we needed some nice pianos for our places so I had no other choices than to try to build some.

I had begun to build a home piano , . I didn’t know where I was going but the result appeared nice and as Muck had like it I had build an animation for it. It was a try a draft and it encouraged me to go on and try another one. By the way I thanks again Tx for his encouragements.

I was not still sure to be able to build a nice Concert piano and so I got the idea to try to build a Piano Forte, the ones Beethoven used a lot and made involve to the pianos we know now. It was a special feeling to work on it. I did it as if I had his peaces in hands, listening piano music, choosing and manipulating the textures as if it was real wood, and to have Muck near me often was really good. I could finish it like you can see it on the picture and Muck playing it was the cheery upon the cake.
In one word I like a lot this piano forte .

Then I was ready to begin to work on the Concert Piano one. First I made it so large and long that I lost many time to try to resize it and it is still not finished. It is a harder job as I would like it nice enough to stay on stage. There is no hurry and I prefer to work on it slowly but surely.

But the harder, at least for me, is to build animations. The little one I already made is enough pretty home but I’m now working on a much better one to fit the Concert Piano on stage.

So for now these pianos are only in OpenSim/OSGrid world and are work in progress. I still didn’t think to transfer them in SecondLife. If really later people strong ask me I will think of it but for now they are not for sale and I don’t want to compete with the great Lister job, even if his pianos and the BoSamba ones are not the same.

Who can build so disturbing uggly places?

Our goal here is not to talk about others places, but what we saw yesterday was so bad that I wished to tell a word about it.

It’s not fun at all to see or hear that some of the performers we like can get disturb in their concert in other places.

Sure when the technology breaks we can’t do a lot; on the internet and through computers we all are under Damocles sword when at any time the net can go down or the computer crash or our cat jump on the keyboard running after the mouse ( ) or any other kind of reasons…

But yesterday we went to listen Brent and his new pianist partner. They were not performing in Opera Goven place but else where and we were very sad for them. All was wrong there. First a blue metallic round cold place looking like more an examination postmortem room than a concert place and so laggy than even the performer could see his av only 20 mns later, and the stream was so bad that all that made the people upset and 2/3 of them had fast leaved complaining of it in open chat.

Unable to listen them well, unable to see something pleasant, a crazy lag cause of a crazy building there, ourselves finished to be bored and we decided sad to leave the place and to join a much better place: Maite and Tedy gallery.

But I don’t forget that sometimes a place can be very slow because of unkind neighbors. In one word Sadness: Brent you deserve much better than that.

All that convinced us to keep our place little enough to control it, to not put there useless laggy gadgets and others boring stuffs and that we rent a nice great streaming server.

But also we will keep Sunday as our BoSamba resting day as Sunday seems the the most disturb day in these virtual worlds.
